Behaviour and Discipline

1. Maintain acceptable behaviour, discipline and decorum at all times.
2. Keep noise levels low to allow others to study, relax or sleep.
3. Do not cause annoyance or nuisance to adjoining occupiers.
4. Alcohol, alcoholic beverages and narcotic drugs are not allowed.
5. Fire-arms, lethal weapons, toxic and hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.
6. Smoking and contraband drugs are prohibited within the hostel.
7. Ragging, harassment, unnecessary arguments and fighting are strictly prohibited.
8. Parties, social or political gatherings require prior written consent from Management.
9. No trade, business or profession may be conducted on the premises.
10. Disrespect towards Management, staff or fellow residents is not tolerable.
11. Unacceptable behaviour must be reported to Management immediately.

Upkeep

1. Management may conduct spot checks at any time without prior notice.
2. Occupants must keep their rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and surroundings clean and tidy.
3. All assets in rooms and common areas must be handled carefully.
4. All electrical appliances (AC, fans, lights, microwaves, fridges, rice cookers, TVs) must be switched off when not in use.
5. Clothes must only be dried on lines provided outside the building.
6. Hostel furniture must not be moved; no additional furniture without Management's permission.
7. All fixtures and fittings must be kept in good and tenable condition.
8. Curtains must be washed and kept clean at all times.
9. Any damage to hostel property must be reported immediately to hostel staff.
10. Occupants will be charged for all damages except those from normal wear and tear.
11. Pasting of posters, wall chalking, drilling, or defacing of any kind is not allowed.

Visitors

1. Visitors are not allowed to stay in the hostel after 9:00 PM.
2. The building gate is locked at 9:00 PM; keys held by the caretaker. Open for emergencies only.
3. Unauthorized persons cannot use hostel facilities (iron, washing, cooking, sleeping).
4. Management may prevent visitors from using any hostel utilities or services.

Security

• Lock all doors at all times. Management is not responsible for loss of private property.
• Lock all valuables (phones, laptops, watches, money) at all times.
• Occupants may not change rooms or sleep outside their allocated room.
• Report any room-mate missing for more than 24 hours to Management immediately.

Vacation of Hostel

1. Room keys must be handed over when leaving for semester break or vacating.
2. Misplaced keys will be charged at prevailing cost or deducted from security deposit.
3. Occupants are responsible for removing all personal belongings upon vacating. Management assumes no responsibility for abandoned items.
4. Occupants staying the next semester must move belongings to the inner kitchen under lock and key before going on vacation.

Revision of Rules

1. Management reserves the right to revise rules at any time. Ignorance is not an excuse.
2. Complaints, suggestions or inquiries must be communicated to Management and will be addressed as soon as possible.
